There were quite a few people out there actually. A boy scout troop, and a few other overnighters. Mountain bikes are permitted on the north side of the lake, so there were a few of them, and there were quite a few day hikers on the south side of the park. But we had our camp to ourselves. I'm with you, I've never heard of it either. I think it is more of a local jewel, and hidden to the rest of Texas. But well worth a visit!

The weird thing is, I think I saw more people on Sunday than I did on Saturday. If you can believe that. But I think that most backpackers are unfamiliar with, as I have never noticed anything about it before.
