Good Water Trail Report

Just got back from Lake Georgetown. Very enjoyable trail, and a great place to stretch legs out for weekend adventures. Very accommodating backcountry sites! Fire rings, tent pads, picnic tables.

Started at Russel Park and hiked 10 miles to Sawyer CG. The first half was virtually flat, but once past Tejas CG, the trail grows hilly and interesting. Walks along ridges above lake and up and down through the cedar stands. The last 6.6 miles was the best to me (Sawyer CG to Cedar Breaks Park). Very undulating and nice ridgeline walks above lake. Trail is littered with jagged rocks, so watch those ankles and feet!

I really like this trail and absolutely plan on a return! If anyone else is ever interested, let me know.

Brett
