As a new camper, I was bummed that on two of three camping trips this year, we could hear loud music playing from nearby campsites. (at Garner and Davis Mountains.) The music went on all afternoon and evening. I was unsure whether it's ok to ask them to turn it down or tell a ranger, but since then I've read the official rules that music shouldn't be heard from other sites at any time.

People have said this is something you have to put up with unless you go to primitive sites, which we're going to try but don't want to give up car camping for good. Anyone have any advice or relatively quiet sites they can recommend?
