Have Fun
Camping with a little one is challenging, but with some planning and the right equipment camping is a lot more enjoyable. Our baby is 10 months old and she's been to Garner SP three times. 1st time in October (she was 3 months and we stayed in a cabin for two nights), 2nd time end of February (did one night tent & one night in cabin due to a cold front) and then recently on the 8th (two nights in tent).

Things that made it easier for us: portable air conditioner or heater, fan, portable playpen and a bumbo (baby chair).

It's been fun and so far (knock on wood) we have had a great time each time with no issues. She seems to enjoy being outside and looking around at new things.

This weekend we are going to Chalk Bluff for one night of tent camping!

...oh yeah, back to the topic: we live in Helotes (right outside of SA) and we really enjoy Friedrich Wilderness Park for walking. They have lots of trails at different difficultly levels and you won’t get run over by bicycles.
