Re: More fishing fun in 2009

We did Fishing with a ranger at Inks more than a year ago. It is a good way to get very young children, who's parent's don't really fish, to have an opportunity to learn how to fish. If they find a less crowded spot and have enough patience, they might also catch. There were about 30 kids there on the dock, and along the shore by the canoe rental house. If I was a fish, I wouldn't be anywhere near that ruckus. About a third of the kids were jumping up and down on the paddle boats docked there.

The ranger and his helpers did a fine job instructing the kids, setting up their loaner poles, and baiting hooks for the kids. I think they have bottled up "kid energy", and distilled it long enough to create a "patience potion". We didn't stay very long, my son was one of those kids jumping on the paddle boats!
