As said, state parks have to accomadate everyone regardless of how long they want to camp. Would love to be able to reserve individual sites but understand the costs and hassles involved with that. We're not likely to see that here and I'd not be surprised to see states that allow it moving away from it. What it boils down to is that as long as all (or most) of the sites are filled on the weekends, changes aren't likely to happen.
