Re: St. Parks should hold some sites for 2-3 day campers.

The state parks have to cater to all user types (day users, one nighters, weekenders, long timers and others, as all pay for the parks).

It amazes me that the one nighters take the time to reserve that one night, but longer campers can't make the same time. (we did fit that description for a while) We have been shut out of last minute planning and have now learned the system, if you want to camp for sure in Texas at certain times you must plan and reserve. Whether the state goes to sites or not its the same answer.

Not sure if specific sites are good or bad we are doing that on our upcoming trip with reserved sites in Missouri and Wisconsin. But we just guessed what looked good.

Since we use Texas Parks the most, we are now are used to get what's left. (Although our jobs allow us to take Fridays off )so we now usually start on Thursday night and you get the pick of the park then.
