I like my SwissGear rechargeable. Has 3 brightness settings. There's no batteries to buy (or fill up landfills with), no propane bottles to buy (or fill up landfills with), and it puts out just enough light for us yet doesn't blind our neighbors. If I need more light, I have my rechargeable hand-held spotlight for that.
We almost always camp with electricity, so the lantern gets recharged overnight and is ready to go the next evening.
