I took my family to Lake Whitney SP 7 or 8 years ago. It was a nice, quiet park, but, at least at that time had minimal trails available. I remember walking on a small nature loop, less than a mile long, and being amazed that that's all there was. I just looked at the TPWD website for Lake Whitney and looks like they've added one more trail, also less than a mile in length, that's designated multi-use, hiking and biking.

Because hiking is what my family and I really enjoy, I don't think we will be going back to Lake Whitney, unless it's to use it as a jumping off point to visit other area attractions.
