Re: Dangerfield State Park
As Troop198 said, this is a good little park. During the fall, it has some of the best color in Texas. For full hook-ups, sites 6 and 7 in the Big Pine campground are probably best. The sites closer to the restrooms tend to be more uneven and even have some buckling. All sites in this area are pull-throughs.
Good fishing pier. Good trails, but a bit short. You can rent canoes there.
Visit Outlaws in town for some very decent BBQ (Highway 259 about 1 mile south of the intersection with Highway 11). Nothing great, but very dependable.
If you run out of things to do in the park, a short day trip to Jefferson is always interesting. There's lots to see and do there.
Enjoy your trip.
